Entry for the Abashiri Marathon will finally start on Saturday, April 1st!

Through this marathon, you can enjoy the beautiful nature of Abashiri City, Hokkaido, as well as Abashiri's specialty gourmet food!

Starting from the historic Abashiri Prison, it is exhilarating to feel the wind while looking down at the Sea of Okhotsk, which is filled with drift ice in winter, from Cape Notoro.
In addition, each aid offers gourmet food unique to Abashiri, so it is recommended that you take a break and enjoy the food. And 2.6 million autumn-blooming sunflowers welcome you at the finish area! Some people even describe it as a feeling of climbing to heaven, as this sight permeates their tired bodies!
