Tonton is an izakaya (Japanese pub) that opened in 2013. The name comes from the kanji character "屯" (tamuro), which means "to hang out" or "to gather," and the sound of knocking on a new door, "tonton." The restaurant values "connections with people" and aims to be "a place where people gather and where connections and opportunities are born."

In particular, the flavorful broth dishes, made slowly and carefully with bonito flakes and kelp, are a must-try. A dish you absolutely must try is the "Grilled Herring with Bones Removed." Herring is often avoided because of its many bones, but by using high-quality herring from Abashiri, the local area, and carefully removing each small bone, they create an incredibly tender and delicious dish.
The shop, reflecting the owner's sensibilities as a former band member, is adorned with art pieces and photographs. With its soft lighting and comfortable atmosphere, it's a welcoming space loved by locals.
