The restaurant is in a great location with large windows offering views of the Sea of Okhotsk and Hat Rock. During the drift ice season, you can see the Aurora, an icebreaker ship that is a winter feature of Abashiri, right in front of you, and when it is on its way, all the staff sometimes come to see it off.
The restaurant serves dishes made with ingredients from Abashiri, as well as from nearby areas such as the Okhotsk Sea and eastern Hokkaido. Menu items using Ibara crab include sashimi and grilled crab, as well as dessert in the form of "Crabirana," which is Catalana mixed with powder made from ripe crab shells. The sashimi in particular is a proud menu item, with a sweeter taste than cooked crab, a creamy texture, and the ability to savor the crab's natural flavor.
The most popular dish is the Kamameshi, which is cooked slowly and carefully after an order is placed. They are particular about using dashi stock made from natural ingredients, and cook it according to the ingredients, such as scallops and oysters. We also recommend finishing off your meal with dashi chazuke.
In addition to table seating, the restaurant also has a robatayaki corner where you can enjoy Abashiri-produced hakkaku fish and Abashiri brand fish, Tsurikinki, grilled right in front of you.
