Okhotsk Country Club is a seaside golf course that blends in with the magnificent nature of Hokkaido. Conveniently located just a 20-minute drive from Abashiri Station, it is blessed with a spectacular view of the Sea of Okhotsk, the Shiretoko Peninsula, and the primeval flower gardens.
While the course is flat and the fairways are wide, there are many out-of-bounds holes on the right, making it difficult to play from the back tees, making it a leisurely yet challenging 18 holes. Wild animals such as red foxes, squirrels, and deer sometimes come to watch the players play.
The clubhouse has been completely renovated and now offers a wide range of facilities, including a large public bath with luxurious natural stone bathtubs where you can soothe your fatigue, a 240-yard driving range with 30 tee bays, and a restaurant that serves dishes made with Abashiri pork.

Located in a scenic spot with a panoramic view of the Sea of Okhotsk, the Shiretoko Peninsula, and the Primeval Flower Garden, the course is particularly renowned for its Hokkaido-esque views from holes 5, 11, and 14. While the course is flat and the fairways are wide, there are many OBs on the right, so slicing is a no-no. There is a 480-yard difference between the back tee and the regular tee, and while it is easy to get a good score from the regular tee, there are pitfalls in various places from the back tee, making it a rather difficult course.
