JR Sightseeing Train Drift Ice Story
A very popular tourist train only available in winter
The JR Senmo Main Line's "Ryuhyo Monogatari" is a hugely popular tourist train that runs only in the winter between Abashiri Station and Shiretoko-Shari Station along the Sea of Okhotsk, where the drift ice arrives (operates two round trips per day).
While you enjoy the spectacular view of the drift ice fields and the Shiretoko mountain range from the train window, the local tourism volunteer group "MOT Rail Club" will be on board to provide you with a heartfelt tour from the train window and sell limited edition goods!
