This half-day experience plan, starting around noon, is a 4-hour tour focused on two activities: "Eagle Watching Trip," where you search for the Steller's sea eagle and white-tailed eagle (both national natural monuments) by car, and the ever-popular "Abashiri Lake Smelt Fishing." Abashiri has many tourist attractions, so a travel plan that involves sightseeing for half a day and then enjoying the other half-day experience is also recommended. The smelt you catch are fried into hot tempura right there. The taste of freshly fried fish is exceptional, and letting children experience the joy of fishing and eating will surely make it a more memorable trip. This experience tour involves little walking, so it can be thoroughly enjoyed by everyone from children who are not very confident in their physical strength to seniors. Both smelt fishing and the Steller's sea eagles soaring in the sky are typical sights of the Okhotsk Sea.
